The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, which was initiated by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., was held at Tagum City National Comprehensive High School last June 7 and 8, 2024. Among the many government agencies that participated in the event was the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region XI.
Under the leadership of Regional Director Eleanor Calderon, LTO Region XI conducted the Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) to numerous applicants. The office also provided other relevant services through its LTO – Bus on Wheels.
LTO Region XI Conducts TDC at Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair
According to a Facebook post by Land Transportation Office – Philippines, the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair was hosted by the Local Government Agencies (LGAs) of Davao del Norte. The event was headed by Vice Governor De Carlo “Oyo” Uy, with the Speaker of the House, Cong. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, as the Guest of Honor.
Meanwhile, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista and Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II of the LTO supported the activity, sharing information about traffic rules and regulations, as well as road safety to event participants.
LTO Region XI, through LTO Tagum District Office and LTO – Bus on Wheels, held a free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) to around 400 applicants. Furthermore, lecturers from the Regional Law Enforcement Section (RLES) XI also came and shared their knowledge about basic traffic rules and regulations.
Notably, LTO Tagum District Office, which is led by Josephine dela Vega, issued 186 Student Permits during the event. Likewise, the LTO – Bus on Wheels, led by Marco Teofilo, issued 82 Student Permits. It also facilitated the renewal of four (4) Driver’s Licenses and the registration renewal of 27 motor vehicles.
Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair
The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair happens to be the biggest service caravan in the country. It seeks to provide government services to less fortunate Filipinos in many communities nationwide.
What’s more, the event is also held to promote the Philippine government’s flagship programs, including Driver’s License registration/renewal, Passport on Wheels, and Kadiwa ng Pangulo.
