For quite some time now, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has been actively enforcing the “No Plate, No Travel” policy across the country. For this reason, motorists and vehicle owners have been clamoring to obtain their license plates as soon as possible.
Fortunately, getting license plates is now easier, thanks to the LTO Tracker, an online tool that enables motorists to check if their plates are available for claiming. In addition, the LTO Tracker allows them to verify if their driver’s licenses are also available.
Guide to Finding License Plate with LTO Tracker
Currently, the LTO follows the “No Plate, No Travel” policy, which basically prohibits vehicles without proper license plates to operate on public roads. The policy is part of the agency’s efforts to ensure the proper registration of vehicles and of course, the safety of all motorists, passengers, and pedestrians on the road.
To comply with this policy, vehicle owners are eager to acquire their license plates. Fortunately, these days, they can easily check the status of their license plates and driver’s licenses, just by using their mobile phones or computers. This is made possible through the LTO Tracker!
What is the LTO Tracker?
The LTO Tracker is an online tool that enables vehicle owners to check the status of their driver’s licenses and license plates. Using this platform, they can also request for their driver’s license and license plate to be delivered via an LTO-accredited courier.
Why Use the LTO Tracker?
There are many advantages to using the LTO Tracker, namely:
Real-time Tracking. Using this tracker, you can verify the status of your license plate or driver’s license application in real-time. You don’t have to worry while waiting since you can monitor your application anytime, anywhere!
Convenience. The LTO tracker will show if your license plate has been finished and is now available. This way, you can arrange your schedule and avoid the long lines to claim your license!
Fast Delivery. Too busy to claim your license plate? No biggie! Through the LTO Tracker, you can arrange for an accredited courier to deliver your license plate straight to your doorstep!
Data Security. The tracker features state-of-the-art security measures, so you can rest assured that your personal information is safe and protected at all times.
How to Use the LTO Tracker?
You can access the LTO Tracker in two ways: (a) through the eGovPH mobile app; or (b) via the LTO Tracker website. Here is a step-by-step guide to each method:
Via eGovPH Mobile App
- Download the eGovPH mobile app from Google Play Store or the App Store. After opening the app, register to create an account.
- On the home page, click “NGA” (National Government Agencies,” select “LTO” (Land Transportation Office), then click “LTO Tracker.”
- On the LTO Tracker page, choose the “Plate Number” tab. Enter your license plate number or MV number, then click “Track and Check Availability.”
- The screen will show if your license plate is: (a) in process; (b) has been dispatched; or (c) ready for delivery/pick up.
- If your license plate is ready, you now have two options: delivery or pick up.
- If you prefer delivery, click “Deliver my Plate.” Enter your complete delivery address, then upload a valid ID, Certificate of Registration (CR), or other supporting documents. Press “Continue to Checkout” and monitor the delivery status until your license plate is sent by the LTO.
- If you prefer pick up, click “Set Appointment.” Choose a date, book it, and save the QR code. Show this QR code at the LTO office on the day of the pick up.
Via LTO Tracker Website
- Go to the LTO Tracker official website.
- On the home page, click the “License Plate” tab.
- Enter your license plate number (if you already have it). Alternatively, you can also enter your MV number, which can be found on your CR. Then, click “Track and Check Availability.”
- The LTO Tracker will show the current statues of your license plate: (a) in process; (b) has been dispatched; or (c) ready for delivery/pick up. If your license plate is not found in the system, you will be asked to provide more information (e.g. name, birthdate, OR/CR details, etc.) so that LTO can locate your record.
- If your license plate is ready, you can choose whether to pick it up at the LTO office, or have it delivered to your home address.
- If you prefer to pick up your license plate, the screen will show the branch where you can claim it.
- If you prefer home delivery, you’ll need to upload a photo of your valid ID and OR/CR, and enter your delivery address. Pay the courier fee via QRPh or GCash to book your delivery. Then, you can track the delivery status of your license plate until it arrives.

Note for Foreign Clients
The LTO Tracker has posted a disclaimer for foreign clients. Foreign clients who have applied for the conversion of their driver’s license and for courier service are NOT eligible for the tracker’s courier service. Instead, all foreign driver’s licenses are delivered by the Philippines’ Postal Service, in accordance with a memorandum dated December 23, 2019.
