“M-A-R-S” Campaign Kicks Off in Marikina City

Based on a Facebook post by the Land Transportation Office – Philippines, the M-A-R-S campaign aims to engage mothers in the agency’s advocacy. Since mothers are considered as their children’s “first teachers,” they are able to provide valuable guidance, especially in the aspect of road safety.

Asst. Sec. Mendoza encouraged all participants of the M-A-R-S campaign to spread knowledge to their families and communities. He also called on them to be good examples in demonstrating road safety.

Notably, this event falls under the “Bagong Pilipinas” movement led by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. It is carried out by the LTO, with the guidance of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime J. Bautista, and in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Final Thoughts

Indeed, parents, especially mothers, are the first teachers to their children — guiding them, protecting them, and providing them with safety instructions, especially when out on the road.

Thanks to the M-A-R-S campaign, more mothers are empowered and better prepared to continue spreading awareness about road safety to their children, and throughout their communities.

Speaking of empowerment, the LTO also continues to provide capability training to its female personnel. Recently, LTO Region 8 held a seminar for “Lady Law Enforcement Officers.” Check out this article to learn more about this event!
