Pasig is a highly urbanized city in Metro Manila. As of 2020, it had a population of more than 803,000 people! Here, you will find numerous office buildings, high-rise condominiums, schools, and popular retail establishments like SM Megamall and Robinson’s Galleria. The city is also home to the historic Pasig Cathedral, which was built around the same time as the city’s foundation, in 1573.
Traffic is a daily concern in Pasig City, especially in the Ortigas Center Business District. In addition to the many private cars, there are buses, jeepneys, and taxis that transport passengers to and from their offices. To manage traffic flow, the Pasig City Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) was established; it works alongside the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

What is the Pasig City TPMO?
The Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) is the government office responsible for managing traffic, enforcing traffic rules and regulations, and ensuring road safety for all motorists, commuters, and pedestrians in Pasig City.
Vision and Mission
The TPMO’s functions go in line with the vision and mission of the Pasig City Government, as stated in its official website:

Final Thoughts
Pasig is one of the busiest, most populated cities in the country. With so many people working here, especially at the Ortigas Center Business District, it’s not surprising that traffic congestion is a daily concern. Fortunately, the Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) is here to ensure road safety for everyone!
